Gamers have been screaming for better graphics in recent years, Crysis took next gen graphics to the next level but if you didn’t have a $500+ graphics card in you rig then you were going to struggle to play Crysis even at medium graphics levels. In the last few years graphic cards have come along way and now a $100 video card will see that you are able to play the latest game at respectable detail levels, Modern Warfare 2 and Infinity Ward are introducing some new technology to help with in game graphics, “texture streaming” is a new process that allows game developers to create larger environments, better graphics, increased detail of characters texture streaming (Pictured above) will enhance your overall gaming experience.
This is set to be an in-game option, selectable under the options menu, this technology will better suit DirectX 10 video cards, but even DirectX 9 capable video cards will benefit from this new inclusion. fourzerotwo has posted more information on this subject if you have a few spare minutes it is worth a read, lets hope that the general gameplay can backup the MW2 Hi-Resolution graphics.
